Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and rigorous Mechanical Engineer (intermediate or senior level) in Barcelona to deliver innovative, high quality leading-edge solutions for the 3D Printing industry in a fast paced, highly collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.

Your Roles and Responsibilities will be
  • Design and development of electro-mechanical systems devoted to the 3D Printing industry, from concept to market introduction through a complete New Product Development (NPD) Program Life Cycle (PLC)
  • Close team-working with internal groups and external partners & customers
  • Delivery of high quality design and validation documentation as part of building the knowledge base and best practices

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor, Masters or above degree in any mechanical engineering related discipline
  • Previous experience in a similar position for serial product design and development, ideally in a Printing or 3D Printing adjacent industry
  • Completion of at least one or more NPD PLCs in that role will be valued

What We Value

  • Accurate knowledge of ME fundamentals: CAD, CAE, system modelization, prototyping, tolerance analysis, specifications (GD&T / ISO GPS), DFMEA, etc.
  • Knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat transfer and thermodynamics
  • Accurate  knowledge of NPD (DFM, PFMEA, Process Capability, Tests and Tools, etc.) and quality (Reliability, Testing and Validation, etc.) fundamentals
  • Accurate understanding of product requirements and program constraints, with the ability to comply with challenging deadlines delivering high quality solutions via the adoption of the adequate trade offs
  • Accurate understanding of PLC phases and deliverables for a serial industrialized product
  • Ability to interact and contribute across disciplines and organization along the complete PLC (from conception to market introduction)
  • Ability to deal with internal groups and external partners & customers
  • Fluent written and spoken English knowledge
